Scriblink is a free digital sketchpad that users can share online in real time. Sorta like pen and paper, minus the dead trees, plastic, and the inconvenience of being at the same place at the same time.
Scriblink has something to offer everyone. If you're here for pure enjoyment, Scriblink is a fun way to scribble alone or with friends. With privacy, personal invites, a chat box, and advanced editing tools, the site is also great for more serious things like studying with classmates for chemistry or going over new product designs.
The internet has done wonders for the way people communicate, but it's no substitute for the power of pen and paper. When emails and phone calls just aren't getting the message across, Scriblink is your solution to real time online collaboration.
Absolutely. Scriblink requires no client software installation to work, nor do we engage in any practices related to tracking our users. To learn more, please read our privacy policy.
Nothing. It's free, and we are going to keep it that way.
Scriblink was founded by Jordan Adler in June 2006 and shortly thereafter Leo Efstahiou came on board. The name is a combination of the words scribble and link, as the basic idea of the site is to link scribblers together.
Certainly. Just click on the file menu option and select the appropriate task.
Yes. Unlike the universal board where hitting clear will only make your screen go blank, the personal board is a shared board. We found it important to make sure all users in a personal board are on the same page, literally.
When an image is saved, it is immediately stored on our servers and an email is sent to the given address with the board URL. When you are ready to continue scribbling, simply go to the email and click on the link. The same goes for the email feature except it is sent to a person of your choosing rather than yourself.
As of now, there isn't. We are strongly considering it for future releases. However, you can always copy and paste the text to a word document.
No. Boards that are inactive are closed by our servers to preserve bandwidth. If you would like to revisit a board simply save it under the file tab.
Each board can hold up to 6 users.
Each personal board is equipped with a digital signature that is virtually impossible to crack. The only way someone is able to join your board uninvited is if they guess its 10+ alphanumerical number that is randomly generated.
If you can see their name on the user list just above the chat box, they are in your personal board.
Since this departs from our main business, we have chosen to outsource this service to FreeConferenceCall.
Only normal long distance charges by each caller's carrier apply. There will be no bill or charges from FreeConferenceCall.com or Scriblink for this service.
What's the catch? There is no catch. There are no advertisements to listen to, no quality issues, no hidden fees, no sales pitches, no contracts, no purchases required, no privacy problems, no limitations or restrictions and no surprises.
In the upper right corner of the homepage is a "learn more" link. Here you can learn about all the different features of the board, and what each one does.
On the personal board, if you are inactive for 5 minutes your session will be terminated by our servers. This will not affect other users on the board.
The upload button is located under the file tab. Once clicked, a pop-up will appear allowing you to upload an image from your hard drive or by entering a URL.
A typical URL such as www.google.com will not upload to the site because it is not an image. In order for a URL to upload it must end in image extensions like .jpg or .png.
An image can be removed from the whiteboard in one of two ways. Under the file tab, you can click the remove button which will erase the picture but keep everything else on the board. Another option is to replace the image. Simply click the upload button and Scriblink will automatically delete the existing image and upload the new one.
